SURFLEET PARISH COUNCIL
MEETING MINUTES
Minutes of the parish meeting held on 16th November 2021 at the Lady Fraiser room, Surfleet.
Present.
Councillors: Cllr Glynn Waltham (Chairman), Alan Tokley, Trevor Wright and Philip Godderidge.
In attendance: District Councillor Sneath and Granville Hawkes (Clerk).
1 Apologies for absence:
Cllrs Caulfield and Lacey.
2 Public Forum:
No public members present.
3 Approve minutes of the previous meeting September 2021:
These had been circulated and were agreed as a true record
4 Matters arising:
No matters arising the Clerk will write to Cllr Storey for an update on his current status.

5. Police matters:
Cllr Wright reported that the PCSO presence in Park Lane continues.
6. Highway matters:
Cllrs reported no new issues.
7 Cemetery matters:
Cllr Waltham advised that he and the Clerk had met with D Lewis at the cemetery to discuss the grass cutting contract. Mr Lewis will tidy up the cemetery and in 2022 selected overgrown graves will be given attention.
8. Finance report:
The Clerk reported the following cheques for issue,

9 Planning:
Applications have been circulated and actioned.
10. Litter bins:
Cllr Wright has chased SHDC regarding a new bin to be installed at the bus stop in Station Road Dist Cllr Sneath will follow up. The Clerk will email D Wyles about a new metal bin with lid for Glen park.

11. Grass cutting contract:
Now in place the Clerk will advise the unsuccessful applicants.
12. Playpark:
Surfleet community volunteers have removed a further net which has been sent for repair, the two smaller tower roofs need replacement.
13. Members reports:
Cllr Godderidge reported that a large part of a willow tree has fallen and is blocking the river Glen, the Clerk will report to the Environment Agency.

Cllr Waltham confirmed that D Lewis had tidied up the war memorial before Remembrance Sunday.
14. Correspondence:

15. Review & agree the 2022-2023 budget:
This was agreed as per the attached report prepared by the Clerk, proposed by Cllr Tokley and seconded by the Chairman.
