MEETING MINUTES

Minutes of the parish meeting held on 18th June 2024 at the Lady Fraiser room, Surfleet.

Present.

 Councillors: Cllrs Alan Tokley (Chairman), Elizabeth Jones, James Lacey, Patrick Caulfield, Trevor Wright, Philip Godderidge and Granville Hawkes (Clerk).

Public Forum:

No public members present.

 

 

3.

Approve minutes of the previous meeting May 2024:

These had been circulated, on the proposition of Cllr Godderidge, seconded by Cllr Caulfield were agreed by all and signed by the Chairman as a true record.

 

 

4.

Matters arising:

The Clerk reported that he had contacted Naylor Farms for an update on the planning application which has been delayed as a new application will now go to Lincolnshire County Council. The issue of speed cameras on the A16 had been reported to Dist Cllr King.

 

5.

Highway matters:

Cllr Lacey reported that the hedge between the A16 and the farm shop exit needs cutting. Members were pleased that the traffic report showed average speeds were lower than expected.

Cemetery matters

Cllr Godderidge reported that E Sterma will remove the dead tree in the cemetery.

 

 

 

7.

Finance report:

The Clerk reported the following cheques for issue,

 

101165 Clerk salary                       £     246.52

101166 HMRC                               £       42.60

101167 LALC                                 £     503.16

101168 Dai Lewis                          £     875.00

 

The Bank reconciliation was circulated and was agreed by members.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

8.

Planning:

The Clerk confirmed that planning applications had been circulated and actioned with comments reported to SHDC.

 

 

 

9.

Members reports:

PG/EJ advised that the pontoon on the river Glen had worked loose.

JL advised that the bin at the slipway had been removed as agreed.

AT reminded the Clerk to add a synopsis of the minutes in the parish magazine.

TW reported that the fly tipping issues were ongoing but identified culprits were being reported to SHDC.

AT thanked JL and PG re the cherry tree.
