MEETING MINUTES
Minutes of the parish meeting held on 20th May 2025 at the Fraiser Room, Surfleet.
Present.
Councillors: Cllrs Alan Tokley (Chairman), Elizabeth Jones, James Lacey, Trevor Wright, Patrick Caulfield, Phillip Godderidge and Granville Hawkes (Clerk).

Apologies for absence: Cllrs (absent Cllr Wright) |

Public Forum: No public members present. |

3. |
Approve minutes of the previous meeting April 2025: The minutes had been circulated before the meeting, on the proposition of Cllr Lacey, seconded by Cllr Tokley were agreed by all and signed by the Chairman as a true record. |

4. |
Matters arising: The Clerk confirmed that a TRO had been published relating to the 30mph signs in Reservoir Road. |
|

5. |
Highway matters: County Cllr King has referred Thary Lane to Lincs Highways who are unlikely to take any action on the existing position. The Clerk will contact Brilaine regarding bus stop flashing timetables. Cllr Godderidge has reported the graffiti on road signs via fix my street. |

6. |
Cemetery matters The dead tree still needs to be removed, as per the Sterma quotation, the Clerk will chase them to complete the work now the grown is harder. D Lewis has done some tidying up. |

Finance report: The Clerk reported the following cheques for issue, which members agreed, 101200 Clerk salary £ 250.02 101201 HMRC £ 45.60 101202 AJG insurance £ 594.74 The Bank reconciliation was circulated to members. |

Planning: The Clerk confirmed that planning applications had been circulated and actioned with comments reported to SHDC. |
|
|
9. |
Surfleet United Charity: The Clerk reported that he had contacted the Chairman Glynn Waltham. The requirement to remove Surfleet P C as a representative trustee was purely a Charity Commission requirement to allow the charity to register its land at the land registry. On the proposition of PC, seconded by AT, this was agreed by all. |

Beacon lantern cage: Beacon lantern has been refurbished and will be installed with a new flexible/removable pipe. |
