MEETING MINUTES

Minutes of the parish meeting held on 25th January 2022 at St Laurence Church, Surfleet.

Present.

Councillors: Cllr Glynn Waltham (Chairman), Alan Tokley, Trevor Wright Patrick Caulfield and James Lacey.

In attendance: Granville Hawkes (Clerk).

1   Apologies for absence: 

Cllr Godderidge and Dist Cllr Sneath

2   Public Forum:

No publc members present.

3   Approve minutes of the previous meeting November 2021:

These had been circulated, were agreed and signed by the Chairman as a true record.

4   Matters arising:

No matters arising the Clerk will write to Cllr Storey for an update on his current status.

5.   Police matters:

There were no new issues raised.

6.   Highway matters:

Cllrs reported no new issues, the Chairman advised that Marsh Road had been fully resurfaced but lorries were already causing damage to the tarmac.

7   Cemetery matters:

No issues were raised.

8.   Finance report:

The Clerk reported the following cheques for issue,

9   Planning: 

Applications have been circulated and actioned.

10.   Litter bins:

Cllr Wright and Cllr Sneath have both chased SHDC regarding a new bin to be installed at the bus stop in Station Road but have had no reply. The Clerk has emailed D Wyles about a new metal bin with lid for Glen park and awaits a reply

11.   Playpark:

The Clerk will contact regarding the car park being unlocked.

12.   Dog bin Coalbeech Lane South:

Mrs Issitt has contacted about the dog bins overflowing and the Clerk has reported this to SHDC.

13.   Queens jubilee:

Cllr Wright will consider what arrangements should be organised as part of the beacon lighting and report back to the march meeting.

14.   Members reports:

Cllr Lacey advised that the overhanging trees in Hungate had not been cut and the Clerk will report to Highways.
